Las Cuevas Beach Cleanup a Success!

MYSTIC HEMP and SURFING TNT teamed up for a beach cleanup at Las Cuevas. Although the turnout was a little lacking, the effort by the attendees really made up for it. We were able to fill up the tray of my Hilux 4 times with the amount of rubish removed from the beach.

Amoung those in attendance were SURFING TNT head judge JOHN TORREY and his kids. Seen here in the photo are Keith Lewis (SURING TNT president) and TROY HADEED (MYSTIC HEMP founder and owner).

As an added bonus, as if rewarding us for our effort, the BOWL at the end of the beach turned on all day and provided excellent relief in the form of head high, clean, grinding lefts and rights! An awesome day all round.

We hope that ALL members of SURFING TNT will make the effort to attend and participate in our next beach cleaning venture!

ALAN DAVIS IS THE 2007 SURFER OF THE YEAR!

Better late than never...CONGRATULATIONS TO ALAN DAVIS ! on being the SURFINGTNT SURFER OF THE YEAR 2007! He is seen here collecting his trophy at our AGM.

For those who made the effort to be there, we were suprised and moved by an unexpected speech from ALAN that was very genuine and included him thanking all the surfers in Trinidad for keeping him motivated and being the reason he keeps doing what he's doing...

ALAN was also CSN overall champion for 2007...KEEP IT UP ALAN!

LEWIS ST.JOHN WINS CSN SAN SOUCI PRO!

This weekend the 2nd Annual CSN SANS SOUCI PRO was held in very good surf conditions at Beach Break, Sans Souci. There was an excellent turnout with competitors from T&T, Barbados, Jamaica and Martinique all competing for the prize money at stake.

Lewis St.John surfed very well to oust last years champion Chris Dennis and take first prize. Dennis got second place. Lewis also won the Juniors division. The final results were as follows:

JASON APPARICIO WINS FIRST SURFINGTNT NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS!

National Team Trials kicked off on Saturday 16th February in challengin conditions at Beach Break, San Souci. Sixteen competitors took part and in the end it was Jason Apparicio that came out on top.

The next two trails will be held on Sunday 13th April and Sunday 4th May.

Nationals will be held on July 12th & 13th, 2008.
